Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium at Resort World Sentosa

The Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium (MEMA) is a new attraction at Resort World Sentosa, Singapore. It showcases Admiral Zheng He's epic voyage in the 14th century. Its Typhoon Theatre is a must try. The aquarium is not yet open but coming up pretty soon ...

Floating football pitch

Notice an interesting floating football pitch at the marina in Singapore ..

Chijmes, Singapore

Chijmes is a unique place in Singapore whereby F&B outlets are set up inside a church compound, maybe I should say a previous church.

It's situated at Victoria Street, near City Hall.

A very nice alfresco dining area

Its garden.

Surprisingly there are many tourists and locals at the compound.

Thanks to a FB friend who pointed me to this place and thanks to Google Map for the navigation :)

Diehard Liverpool FC fans like to gather at Harry's, Chijmes for a live telecast match. It was packed inside Chijmes. Too bad can't share with you the photo inside Harry's right now as I was new and felt intimidated to take a photo .. hehee ...

Views around Clarke Quay, Singapore

Some good F&B outlets are available inside this building

My favourite outlet Highlander is in Clarke Quay with very lively live band

This is for those who are seeking excitement at night time, swinging you into the air ..

2010 Christmas @ Straits Quay

Straits Quay is the new landmark in Penang.
It's easy to get there, just turn right at the Island Plaza traffic lights if you were from Gurney Drive.

A lively fountain always welcoming its guests

Christmas by the sea @ Straits Quay

Beautiful architecture building

Strategically located in front of a marina, but i can't find any boat / yacht, yet ..

It has a structure looking like a rocket launching pad, maybe symbolizing Penang is being governed by DAP, a rocket party, at this point of time.

Well planned landscape with the right plants at the right place

F&B outlets are going to occupy its ground floor, direct facing the sea.
So far there are about 20-30% open for business.

We have Italian food in Bella Marino
Mediterranean Agua

Malaysian Blue Reef

If we were to put these 3 photos above together, it would sounds like: Getting a boat at the marina going to the water to get a fish (Agua in Spanish means water :)

Finnegan's Irish Pub

Asian Cheeky Duck

Another Irish pub is coming up. There would be 2 Irish pubs, 2 Italian restaurants, and 2 German bierhaus @ Straits Quay (SQ is my newly founded abbreviation for the place)

Familiar names like Pappa Rich and Starbucks are also joining the fray.

My assessment on SQ : It would be either very good or down the drain in 6 months time. The management needs to be sensitive to Penangite expectations.
Anyway, just make your plan to SQ this coming holiday season, bon appetit !!
