1988,1998, 2008

My first year at secondary school. Emotionally felt that there was a big gap between primary and secondary, but luckily managed to get great results from exams. Started to play soccer at school field and followed Euro 1988 closely. Amazed by Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten, and Frank Rijkaard from the Dutch national team which eventually won the tournament. Subsequently become a loyal fan of Liverpool Football Club.

The final year of my degree program. Was on a Singapore Airline flight to Melbourne when Zinedine Zidane (2) and Emmanuel Petit (1) scored in the 1998 FIFA World Cup final helping France to beat defending champion Brazil 3-0. Asian countries faced economic turmoil. Shocked by the news that Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim was sacked and being humiliated. He is my idol since early 90s. At Down Under, i had memorable experience during my stay in one of the suburb of Melbourne.

General Election on Mar 8. Attended many ceramahs and talks, close encounter with Dato Seri Anwar, Dato Seri Hadi Awang, Mat Sabu, YB Kit Siang, YAB Guan Eng, YB Jeff Ooi and many others. Surprised by the election results. Became a 'blogger' in Apr. In the mean time, the world is facing sharp rises in commodity prices which will definitely drag down the economic growth. Euro 2008, again, and i am seeing a final between a favourite and a black horse. Hope that 2008 will be ended with flying colors for myself, the nation, and the world.

Let's see ... :)
